Lawn Doctor in Washingtonville NY is looking for individuals interested in providing high-quality lawn care services to join our team as a Lawn Care Technician. NO MOWING/NO LANDSCAPING.... Our Lawn Care Technicians apply quality, organic and conventional fertilizers, aerate/seed lawns, and maintain assigned equipment. We use the most efficient equipment in the industry and specialized trucks to make your job easier. We care for residential/commercial lawns in Orange County NY and have been in business for 26 years. Check out our Google reviews. Lawn Doctor is the preferred company county wide. We are looking for an employee with previous hands on experience(in this or similar industry) to step in and learn existing routes. You will be assigned your own truck, equipment and a group of towns. We will train and DEC certify the right individual with a good background, not necessarily in lawn care. THIS IS A COMMITMENT AND NOT A TEMPORARY JOB. Candidates for this position should have a strong work ethic, valid driver’s license, clean driving record, reliable transportation to work and good attendance record. The most important qualification is the desire to work in the green industry. Candidate must be able to work 5 days a week and arrive at 7:30am daily. Occasional days off must be planned well in advance. Applicant should meet the qualifications listed below:
Desire to work in the green industry
Be able to drive a 17 ft box truck
Ability to operate walk behind and stand on machinery
Good written and verbal communication skills
Enthusiasm for working outdoors and in various weather conditions
Be able to lift in excess of 50 pounds/ be in good health
Pass or have a DOT physical.
be able to find addresses efficiently
ability to to keep records/maintain inventory/do paperwork/basic math
attention to detail/ability to identify weeds in a lawn
posses honesty and integrity positive attitude/willingness to learn.
be able to solve problems, patient, level headed
5 days a week no Saturdays unless planned. 7:30 start time. Paid vacation week after 1 season, 3 Paid holidays. This is a seasonal position, late March to early November. Starting salary $20.00 to $23.00 an hour or based on experience. Pay is hourly. 38 to 40 hours per week. Health benefits available. Individual Retirement Account after 3 years.
